Honda Accord

For the most part, Canadians drive the same cars we do in the US. However, some are more popular there than others.
With this in mind, it’s interesting to see what models are rated to be some of the best to drive on the roads in either country. There was a pair of vehicles that were honored with the Car of the Year awards at the recent Canadian International Auto Show.

It might not surprise you that the Car of the Year in Canada is the Honda Accord. This is a midsize sedan that has been a long-time performer on the market to give us an amazing vehicle to enjoy and drive on a daily basis. This car stands for the longevity you want in a vehicle and offers us a variety of features to make it one that can offer you the drive you want when you need to handle your daily commute and get where you need to when you drive.
The model that was awarded Utility Vehicle of the Year might surprise you. The vehicle that won this award is the Chrysler Pacifica minivan. As the most advanced minivan on the market, this vehicle has a large number of features that make it easy for everyone in the vehicle to have the ability to connect and have the experience you want on the road. The Pacifica offers excellent fuel mileage and the ride quality desired to be useful, especially when you take a look at the Stow ‘n Go seats that fold into the floor to allow you to load this vehicle up with the gear you want.

Which Vehicles did Each Beat for the Award

The 2018 version of the Honda Accord was put against the Volvo S90, Volvo V90, and the Mazda3 for the Car of the Year considerations. This means it had to win over large luxury models from Volvo that are filled with technology and cargo space along with one of the most active and impressive compact cars on the market today. This is an incredible accomplishment and certainly should allow you to take a longer look at the Accord when you want to have a great drive out on the roads in your area.
As for the Chrysler Pacifica, this minivan had to go up against the Mazda CX-5 and Mazda CX-9 to win the award and be considered the Utility Vehicle of the year at this show. That seems like the competition was in a completely different class with the pair of Mazda models being SUVs and the Pacifica a minivan, but somehow the minivan won out and showed its offered with the items that make it the right choice for those who want to have an amazing ride out on the roads around Canada.
