It’s time for you to drive a sporty luxury sedan. Should you choose the BMW M3 or the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio?
If there ever was a great season to get the most of your sports sedan, it stands to reason that it’d be the summer, right? Something about sporty and suntans pairing well together, I suppose.
Today we’re going to go head-to-head between two classics of the class and see which one comes out on top.
It’s a classic win-win situation.
First, let’s learn a bit more about each year’s latest model before we go head-to-head.
First up: the 2021 BMW M3
2021 BMW M3
For many fans, the BMW M3 isn’t just another sports sedan. It’s THE Sports Sedan of all Sports Sedans.
I’ve always been a big fan of BMWs. Well, as much of a fan as you can be for someone that has never had one.
But you know what I mean, there’s a certain European elegance to every BMW. This is something that separates the BMWs from Jaguar and even Mercedes. Sure, the entry MSRP isn’t going to be everyone, but the exuberant price isn’t unwarranted.
2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
The first thing that comes to mind when I hear the name “Giulia” is:
“Well, that sounds like a lovely Italian girl I can’t afford to date.”
Because you know, some names carry bling bang than others. For example, here’s a look at the assumed MSRPs of the M3 and Quadrifoglio based on name value alone:
Quadrifoglio: $Eleventy billion dollars
But you know aside from the obvious name value, the Alfa Romeo isn’t too much pricier than the BMW.
Let’s be real: if your budget is in the $70k range there’s not too much that’s going to flip your financial lid.
Regardless, you’re going to want to know the answer to the very serious question:
What do you get for your money?
Let’s keep it simple. With the 2021 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, you could tell people that it was in a James Bond movie. And one look at the car and most folks would believe you.
Quadrifoglio VS M3: What you get for the money
|Alfa Romeo||$72,250||505||3.8 seconds 🔥||17/25||183”L X 74”W X 56-57”H|
|BMW M3||$69,900||473||3.5 seconds 🔥🔥||16/23||189”L X 74”W X 56”H|
Who’s the winner?
As mentioned earlier, this is a contest where no matter the outcome all parties win. That there are certain things that stand out about the Alpha Romeo.
In the US, we see far more BMWs, but rarely any Alpha Romeos. So, it wins on the scarcity factor.
The Alpha Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio gets my vote if for no other reason than the impact of its name and the rarity with which it’s seen.
