The Ioniq 5 – Changing the Family SUV
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 arrived at Hyundai dealers in 2022 and since then has easily become a favorite for all types of drivers. It has a fun, modern exterior look, it’s engaging to drive, and it comes with all kinds of features and equipment. Single and dual-motor setups are available for the powertrain, and the trim lineup has something for everyone.
Power for the Ioniq 5 starts with a single electric motor and a standard range battery that puts out 168 horsepower. Choose the long-range battery and power goes up to 225 horsepower. All-wheel drive with two motors will get you 320 horsepower.
The Ioniq 5 N – The Fun to Drive SUV
There’s nothing like the satisfaction of instant response when you press on the accelerator. It’s what you get with the Ioniq 5 N. This performance version of Hyundai’s electric SUV comes with two electric motors, all-wheel drive, and up to 641 horsepower. The all-wheel drive system is enhanced, giving the driver the ability to distribute the amount of power they want to the front and the back, to maximize traction. It even has a dedicated drift mode for those who have enough confidence behind the wheel to hang the tail out in a slide.
The Ioniq N keeps its sporty look and feel inside and out with grippy summer tires, orange and black exterior accents, and sport seats. Inside, you’ll stay comfortable with a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and synthetic suede covering the heated and ventilated front seats.
The Ioniq 6 – Not Your Average Sedan
The Ioniq 6 is the car in the Hyundai Ioniq lineup that looks like nothing else you’ll see on the road. It takes what everyone loves about the Ioniq 5 but shapes it into a low-slung sedan to optimize drivability and add to the fun on the road.
The single motor setup with the standard range battery delivers 149 horsepower. Switch to the long-range battery and horsepower increases to 225. You can get 320 by getting the dual-motor setup.
A Feature-Filled Ioniq 6
There is no shortage of features in the Ioniq 6. It comes with DC fast-charging capability, keyless entry, and a heat pump. Tech features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, navigation and a large digital instrument panel.
All the advanced driver aids are standard or available with this electric sedan. You’ll have so many cameras and sensors looking out for you, that you’ll feel extra confident every time you head out on the road. It comes with forward collision warning, automatic braking, blind-spot warning, and lane-centering.
The higher trims add even more advanced systems, including cross-traffic side collision mitigation, blind-spot collision avoidance, and an enhanced adaptive cruise control system.
