Kia EV3 Arrives as a Sub-$30,000 Electric SUV

Kia has revealed U.S. pricing for the 2027 EV3, a compact electric crossover that slots beneath the larger EV6 and EV9 and sets a new lower entry point for the brand’s battery-electric lineup.

Before the $1,495 destination fee, the Light begins at $29,890. Wind pricing starts at $34,990 with front-wheel drive, while the Land begins at $38,490. All-wheel drive raises those figures to $38,690 and $41,690, respectively. The GT-Line lists for $43,490, and the GT tops the range at $45,890. Kia places the compact crossover below the EV6 and EV9 and describes its exterior footprint as similar to a Seltos.

Battery, Range, and Charging

Two battery sizes divide the lineup. The Light’s 58.3-kWh pack carries a 221-mile EPA estimate. Wind and Land models use 81.4 kWh, supporting an estimated 321 miles with front-wheel drive or 280 miles with all-wheel drive. North American EV3s include the NACS connector in the vehicle, removing the need for an adapter at compatible NACS stations. Kia gives an approximate 31-minute time for moving from 10% to 80% on a 350-kW DC fast charger.

Powertrains and Performance

A 201-horsepower motor drives the front wheels in standard form. Choosing all-wheel drive adds another motor and brings combined output to 261 horsepower. The GT increases the figure to 288 horsepower and receives separate chassis tuning for its steering and suspension.

Cabin Technology and Trim Content

The dashboard groups three screens across almost 30 inches: separate 12.3-inch displays for instruments and infotainment with a 5.0-inch climate screen between them. Wind and Land add synthetic upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a powered sunroof. GT-Line and GT equipment includes a head-up display measuring 12.0 inches, Harman Kardon audio, 19-inch wheels, and the ability to power outside devices through Vehicle-to-Load. The GT alone receives bright green brake calipers. With the optional Nightfall Package, the cabin and body trim take on darker finishes, and the package supplies its own black 19-inch wheel design.
