The second and decidedly more powerful engine comes in the form of the Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8 engine. This engine is put together with a six-speed Allison automatic transmission and is more than capable of hauling over 10,000 pounds up steep grades without even flinching.
One of the biggest changes for the Sierra for 2015 is the upgraded interior. The Sierra 3500 HD comes with some basic equipment at the base price, which is still a work truck. The base model offers antilock disc brakes, air conditioning and stability control. All models except the base are offered with an automatic locking rear differential and as the trim levels are increased the standard features include leather seats, steering wheel mounted controls, Bluetooth connectivity and an electric assist heater for the Duramax equipped models. These features allow even the base models of the differing trim levels to be comfortable and easy to enjoy for the ride no matter where the destination may be.
The optional features for the Sierra include four-wheel drive, touch screen navigation, an EZ-Lift tailgate and a snow plow prep package. This is not to leave out the addition of the most luxurious trim level that can be offered on any GMC model in the form of the Denali trim that truly offers a lot of luxury features for any truck owner to enjoy.
At the base model work truck the GMC Sierra 3500 HD for 2015 can be had for a price as low as $35,740 while heading up the line all the way to the Denali trim will bring in a price that is well over $65,000 for this awesome truck. With a host of choices in between either of these prices the Sierra 3500 HD is a great truck that can be outfitted to make work much easier for the owner and really be equipped to take care of business.
