As many vehicle shoppers are moving toward smaller, more agile and more fuel efficient models, there is still a need for some for the larger more cumbersome SUV’s. The Ford Expedition is such an SUV and has gained a ton of great updates to continue to offer a leading edge on the competition which includes the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Toyota Sequoia and Nissan Armada. Some of these leading items include replacing the large V8 engine with an EcoBoost V6 to offer much more fuel efficiency than ever before. Speaking of the suspension, the one found in the Expedition is very impressive. This suspension that has the drive modes to choose from is very smooth to handle any and all road abrasions and uses electronically controlled shocks to give the most comfortable ride possible. Add the steering system which is finely-tuned and very responsive especially for this large of a vehicle that is more agile than it would appear. The Expedition can even haul up to 9,200 pounds making this a great choice for both work and play.
As expected, the interior offers a ton of space to enjoy giving occupants the opportunity to stretch out and relax during the ride. In higher trim levels, leather is available a couple different colors and the MyFord Touch infotainment system is securely placed in the center of the dash for all to enjoy. The control systems are easy to utilize and offer plenty of great feedback to the driver in order to assist in keeping all riding along safe and secure. With three rows of seats in which the rear two rows fold flat the Expedition offers a massive amount of cargo space for hauling gear home or to the job site.
On the outside and at first glance, the Expedition doesn’t look much different than before, but something certainly feels different. That feeling comes with the incorporation of new headlights and a redesigned grill. On the rear the vehicle adds new taillights and rounder edges. Other than these changes the outside remains basically the same with the large boxy creature space that allows all the space occupants can enjoy. Some chrome accents are added and the dual star spoked wheels are sharp and stylish offering great looks of strength and power.
