When the 2022 Hyundai Tucson model hits the road, it will no longer look like the mild-mannered small SUV we’ve come to know. Instead, this compact crossover will have a dramatic new look to it and will be offered with more configurations than what we’ve seen in the past. You’ll admire the way this new model of the Tucson stands out from the rest of the crowd in this market.
Hyundai is Loading Up this Small SUV
Along with a pair of hybrid models being added to the Hyundai Tucson, this small and active SUV will see more technology to give you the added items you’re after when you want to take a drive in an excellent new SUV. If you’ve admired the Tucson in the past, you’re sure to love the looks and upgrades offered for the model that will arrive in 2022.
We’ll See the Larger of the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Models
We won’t notice it, but there are two lengths that Hyundai will make for the Tucson. The longer of the two will be part of what we see in North America. What we will notice about the new Tucson is the new style which is called “Parametric Dynamics” which gives you the bold look that’s offered for this new version. You’ll see a variety of lines and creases in the bodywork and daytime running lights that are hidden in the grille and only visible when they are turned on.
More Newness In the Rear
The rear of the new Hyundai Tucson will offer impressive upgrades to the lights and the style of the back of this SUV as well. You’ll find a full-width Led light strip that has a pair of diagonal lights on either side of the license plate area. This new style is sportier than what we’ve seen in the past and it gives this SUV the feeling you want when you walk to the back to lift the hatch and load items in the rear. Thankfully, the cargo area isn’t hampered by this new rear style.
A New Powertrain Lineup for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson
The 2022 version of the Tucson will have the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that we know and admire while continuing to offer the 1.6-liter turbo as the upgraded gasoline engine. The turbo model will come as part of a hybrid offering as well to boost power to 227 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. This hybrid layout is different from other Hyundai models and offers power the leaves other SUVs in the dust.
Several Drive Modes for the AWD Tucson Models
If you choose to drive an AWD version of the Hyundai Tucson, you’ll be pleased to find seven selectable drive modes are offered. These modes are Eco, Comfort, Smart, Sport, Mud, Sand, and Snow. This means your Tucson is equipped to handle nearly every type of drive you can find.
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is a serious upgrade from the model we have now. If you’re looking for the right look and configuration for this SUV, we’ll be talking about more of the upgrades between now and when the SUV arrives in the market.
