An Epic Rivalry Continues Between the Camry and Accord

The battle between affordable midsize sedans has been waged between the Toyota and Honda brands with the Camry and Accord making their way to the market as two of the giants that have been able to be favorites on the market for our daily drive for many years. These two cars have been pitted against each other for years to be a pair if models that can be the right choice for you, but which one is the choice you’ll want to make when it’s time to drive? Unless you have a specific brand loyalty to either one of these cars, you’ll want to learn what they have to offer you.

A Competition Over Style

In the past, you might have thought that the Camry would be the one that was devoid of style, but Toyota has done an excellent job of adding sharp lines and features to this car to make it one that’s attractive and impressive. Where the Toyota appears to have a bit of racing style, the Honda Accord is smooth and elegant to offer flowing lines and a look that shows itself as one that can be competent and impressive when it heads out on the roads for the drive.
Going inside the two models you’ll find the Camry offers you an obvious design on the inside that brings you an asymmetrical dashboard and the bright red leather seats if you so desire. This is an interior that stands out and a way that makes it more impressive to look at when you want to see what it has to offer. The Accord doesn’t appear to have as many risks on the inside of the car for the drive, but it does offer a comfortable interior that’s excellent for you to have the ride you’re looking for.

What About the Safety Features?

The new Camry now comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense P which brings you the items you want including collision mitigation, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure alerts, steering assistance, and automatic high beams. You can also have blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alerts, and a top-down parking camera with the Camry. On the Accord you will have the standard Honda Sensing system with the same items as the Camry, which makes these two fairly equally matched when it comes to the technology needed for the drive to make things much better when you head out on the road.

Going Under the Hood

The power you’ll find for the Toyota Camry makes it easy for you to choose the model you want. You can have a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 203 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque or a 3.5-liter V6 that is able to make 301 ponies and 267 lb.-ft. of torque. For the Accord you will have a base 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that shows up with 192 horsepower and 192 lb.-ft. of torque or a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is able to offer you 252 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque that has been a stalwart performer for this car.

Which One Should You Drive?

The Honda Accord offers you more features, a more luxurious interior, and an attention to detail that can make it the right one for you to drive. This car doesn’t offer a 360-degree camera for you to have the look and drive you want for the drive. For the Camry, you have a sportier interior that looks amazing and an amazing improvement over the qualities you could find in the previous model of the Camry. This is a car that has a polarizing style that you’ll want to see for yourself when you want to choose the right model for your drive.
