As much as I can say that power doesn’t always matter because most of us don’t drive a high powered car on a daily basis the fact that 2015 gave us some of the most powerful vehicles ever certainly makes for a different argument. Even though most of us look to drive a car that offers good fuel mileage and makes it much easier for us to enjoy our daily commute while also filling many of the other needs we have in our lives, driving a car purely for sport and for the power of the car can be just the type of fun you need. With that in mind, here are ten of the most powerful vehicles from 2015 to enjoy.
Ferrari LaFerrari – This is one of the most perfectly crafted sports cars ever made to give us a car that shows up with beautiful Italian style features, exceptional aerodynamics and a massive amount of power. This car uses a 6.3-liter V12 that makes 789 horsepower but is aided by an electric motor to bring in an additional 161 horsepower for a total of 950 horsepower combined. Not only can you see why the power would be awesome on this car, but the handling, the perfection and the name all make this a car that anyone would be excited to drive.
McLaren P1 – The P1 is no longer in production for the public and soon will not be for racing either, but that doesn’t diminish the excitement of driving this gorgeous car. With awesome style that features a signature front end and racing perfection the P1 is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 which produces 727 horsepower while being assisted by an electric motor that makes an additional 177 horsepower to offer an overall power of 904 horsepower for this amazing sports car.
Ferrari F12tdf – This is the track ready version of the F12 to give you larger brakes, a sharpened aerodynamics package, lighter weight and more power. This power comes from the 6.3-liter V12 which produces 769 horsepower to give you an awesome ride in one of the most impressive track ready Ferrari models ever made. You might not expect to have a naturally aspirated engine make this much power, but it does and it gives you the chance to enjoy an amazing ride in a car that is ready to be the right car on the track, especially when you see it in the lead at some races.
Tesla Model X P90D – Using two electric motors to make 762 horsepower Tesla makes its way into the SUV world with the Model X. This new crossover sized SUV offers you the power you need to reach sixty mph in only 3.2 seconds which is considered to be the “Ludicrous Mode” from Tesla. Until now we only received some exciting hypercars from Tesla, but now they are making a somewhat more family friendly vehicle in the form of the Model X SUV that will be the next great feature from Tesla.
Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce– This badge isn’t given to every car and the Aventador that carries it is one that has a gorgeous curve from tip to tail to be an awesome car. Toss in a large wing and the SV package of an upgraded suspension, bigger brakes, modified aerodynamics and a great power and you have a car that will be in the front of many races. This car is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 that comes in with a strong 740 horsepower for you to have one of the most powerful rides on the market today.
Fisker-Galpin Rocket – When you look at this car you might think it’s just a Mustang, but it really is much more. This amazing modified car gives you a great deal of carbon fiber to make it lighter and a boosted 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine to make a power rating of 725 horsepower. This car really is a rocket on the road and offers some dynamic handling to let you surprise any takes who want to challenge you on the track. Disguised is not the only description of this car, it’s just one of those cars that are much more than it appears.
Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat – Listed as one of the most affordable high powered sports cars on the road the Charger comes with four doors to give you plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the ride. Great style and a build that is made for fun gives you the basis for this car, but as a Charger you might expect to have a bit of power but maybe not the massive 6.2-liter Supercharged V8 that is in place to give you a strong 707 horsepower. This is one Charger you will drive and ask it to give you more.
Tesla Model S P85D – The Model X isn’t the only new model from Tesla; the P85D is the new Model S that we will see. This awesome new sedan that is offered for the new model year shows up with some of the best acceleration on the market and is powered by a pair of electric motors that brings in 691 horsepower and give you “Ludicrous Speed” which is programmed into the car. Tesla continues to impress with the best EV power you can find on any car to give you a great range from the Tesla Model S.
Roush Stage 3 Mustang – We see a second Mustang on the list and it’s another beauty to be driven. This awesome Mustang is styled beautifully and gives you the feeling of a car that must be driving on any road. The Mustang is one of the easiest to modify cars on the road and this one has been upgraded to give us a 5.0-liter Supercharged V8 engine that gives us 670 horsepower to make it one of the fastest Mustangs on the list and certainly a car that we can all enjoy driving.
McLaren 675LT – Great style and characteristics of this car make it one you can unleash on the roads or take to the track. This is a “lower” model of the McLaren than the P1 but it still brings in some great style and aggressive features. Powered by a 3.8-liter twin turbocharged V8 that makes a strong 666 horsepower this car is a beefed up 650S to give you a car that has the ride and power you want to enjoy from a McLaren. If you want to go fast, this car has the aero and the light weight to make it possible in a build that is easier to control than some of the higher powered vehicles.
When the bottom of the list is a car that comes in at over 600 horsepower you know you have entered amazing company and are able to enjoy a ride that will quickly give you all the fun and features you want. This list is one that gives you some of the greatest cars from 2015 to drive. Most of these cars need some track time as well, which you will gladly schedule in order to have a way to enjoy the ride in any one of these awesome vehicles.
