The Super Bowl gives companies a platform for advertising that is unlike any other. With the largest crowd of the year watching this one event companies pay more money each year for the right to advertise during this game even if it’s only a spot that takes up thirty seconds of time. The visibility for this one spot is a great way for companies to show off new products which is one reason why so many car companies are advertised during this big game. It probably doesn’t hurt that car companies make more money than most other industries as well to have the advertising budgets to handle the cost of multiple spots. With that in mind, here is what we saw during Super Bowl 50.
Though not as widely traveled as Phoenix, nor as naturally adorned as Sedona, the city of Tucson, Arizona weighs in as the 33rd largest state in the United States. It’s filled with history, architecture, and scenic vistas and has generated quite a reputation for being a leader in the innovational optoelectronics field. For the past century or more, since we have used the internal combustion engine to operate vehicles we have heard of a variety of engineers and companies working to try and make these engines more efficient and in the past few decades at least offer lower emissions. For over ten years the engineers at GM and Honda showed us cars powered by a different type of engine and the developers at Hyundai and Delphi moved the possibilities even farther by showing an even better engine that was more efficient in its performance. Hyundai seems to be reshaping the auto world by putting more features in their cars for a better price than most of the competition. The Azera is no exception to this rule for Hyundai and enters the market as a mid-sized luxury sedan at a price many can afford for their daily driver. The 2014 Hyundai Azera comes in as a very sporty sedan that offers a comfortable ride with a wide array of premium equipment and a very stylish appearance. Offering power and fuel efficiency along with a price tag that is a lot less than most cars in this class. Competing in a class that includes the Toyota Avalon and Nissan Maxima the Azera stands out with much better equipment, more comfortable seats, and a good amount of electronics to make the drive even more enjoyable. Anyone who needs a great car for a daily commuter or errand runner should check out the Azera to fit the bill in comfort and sporty style.
With a roomy and stylish interior, the Azera offers comfort for all occupants to enjoy. Add to that the ten year/100,000 mile power train warranty that is included for all Hyundai vehicles and the Azera is a great vehicle to own. Adding a six-inch color LCD display, a rearview camera, and a driver’s blind spot mirror as new features for the 2014 model year, Hyundai has added some great features to the Azera for driver’s to enjoy. When selecting the Limited trim level, an eight-inch touchscreen navigation system and power folding side mirrors are installed.
The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe, even though it is still basically the same as the 2013 model, took the Consumer Reports Award for Best Mid-Sized SUV. Having to compete with strong names like the Ford Explorer, Nissan Pathfinder and Honda Pilot, this is quite an achievement for the Santa Fe. Offering up the most powerful V6 engine in the class, seven passenger seating as an option, and the choice of either front or all-wheel drive it’s pretty easy to see why the Santa Fe won the Consumer Reports award for this class.
To set the 2014 model apart from the 2013, Hyundai equipped the Santa Fe with a Blind Spot Detection System, rear parking assistance, and new HID headlights and LED taillights. All these add ons give the newer model quite a bit more safety features to brag to their non-award winning competitors.
